After a turbulent start to the listing – Filecoin holds a week-long conference

After two wild days for the company’s own crypto currency, Filecoin now wants to provide more information about the future of the project.

Two days after the listing of the Filecoin crypto currency (FIL) initially caused a rapid price gain of 118% and then a loss of almost 80%, the crypto project is now calling a one-week conference to counteract the ups and downs

The conference called “ Filecoin Liftoff Week “ deals with basic knowledge, infrastructure, interoperability and the future plans of the project. A wide variety of topics will be discussed for five days from October 19, 2020.

Participants at the conference include some key figures in the crypto industry, including, for example, ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin, who will speak in a panel discussion about the interaction between Filecoin and Ethereum, and founder of the Internet Archive Brewster Khale, who will speak about the importance of data retention . Other well-known participants are Aave CEO Stani Kulechov, Codefi Product Manager Corbin Page and Polychain Capital founder Olaf Carlson-Wee.

October 20th is all about „mining“ the Filecoin cryptocurrency. Accordingly, all of the presented content, panel discussions and workshops will deal with how the crypto currency can be mined and what rewards await the miners. The miner Benjamin Hoesjbo will hold a tutorial on this.

The members of the community are also invited to supplement the program with their own lectures and discussions. Interested participants can see the planned program here

The conference comes at a time when the FIL cryptocurrency is looking for a bottom after its high of USD 208, because the price is currently only at USD 42.52.

Despite the feedback, the Filecoin team is optimistic about the future of the project.

„This is just the beginning for the Filecoin network“, as it is called accordingly in a blog entry.
